J'ai été touchée par la marche du 21 janvier 2017 en réaction à l'élection de Donald Trump.

Ce livre a commencé sous une forme de tunnel book. J'ai rapidement réalisé que par son sujet, il me fallait une structure beaucoup plus ouverte. Je propose ici une petite partie des manifestants plutôt féministes, des gens qui filment, qui s'expriment avec des pancartes ou par médias sociaux. Elles et ils sont surveillées par la police et les caméras. J’ai essayé de créer malgré tout une ambiance sympathique.

Chaque personnage a d'abord été une silhouette sur une page de livre sur laquelle j'ai fait un collage de textures pour l'habiller. J'ai ajouté des têtes trouvées dans un livre sur les portraits classiques. Les manifestants marchent sur une couverture de livre et la structure au centre est le dos d'un livre sur les femmes et la science. Ce livre peut se regarder des deux côtés.

I was touched by the march of January 21, 2017 in reaction to the election of Donald Trump.

This book began in a form of tunnel book. I quickly realized that by its subject, I needed a much more open structure. I propose here a small part of the feminist protesters, people filming, walking with posters or sharing on social media. They are watched by the police and the cameras. I tried to create nevertheless a sympathetic atmosphere.

Each character was first a silhouette on a book page on which I made a collage of textures to dress it. I added heads found in a book on classic portraits. The protesters walk on a book cover and the structure at the center is the back of a book about women and science. This book can be seen from both sides.
